When you think of an arborist, the image of a woodsman striding into the forest with an axe slung over his shoulder springs to mind. Not so today. Arbor-Tek Ltd combines the skills of qualified arborists with the latest equipment.

Arbor-Tek Ltd was formed in 2003 by Joe Berryman and Bernie Jordan. Joe trained in England and has 24 years arboricultural experience, and Bernie has 28 years experience as a qualified line mechanic, providing a great experience level for Arbor-Tek Ltd. Arbor-Tek Ltd now have 10 employees, and also have the necessary machinery to be able to carry out the many services that we offer, which show that tree care and health is our priority. These services are:

• Crown shaping
• Crown thinning
• Dead wood removal
• Debris removal
• Dismantling
• Emergency tree removal or repair
• Felling
• Formative pruning
• Hedge trimming
• Orion approved power line clearing
• Pruning overhanging branches
• Stump grinding

We focus on quality workmanship for all of our clients. One day we can be pruning roses, the next day we can be removing the biggest tree overhanging a house, preserving heritage trees or undertaking large scale tree removal involving skidders and forestry machinery.

All our senior staff are qualified arborists. We aim to have the most experienced staff who are available to us, but we also actively encourage young people into our industry, offering training opportunities.

Safety is paramount for our staff and the public. We follow industry safe work practices and all staff are traffic management qualified. However, we are still fully insured.

We sometimes have job openings for qualified arborists and are also willing to offer on-the-job training to suitable people.
